Sr Development and Management Leader

The Opportunity

We are working with a fast-growing, well-capitalised renewable energy platform expanding its Wind, Solar PV, and Battery Energy Storage (BESS) portfolio across Germany.

This is a senior leadership opportunity for experienced professionals who have successfully taken projects from early concept through development, permitting, ready-to-build (RTB), construction, and into operations or transaction .

Depending on experience, this role can be positioned at Manager, Head, or Executive level , with real influence over strategy, portfolio growth, and team development.

Your Role

You will play a key role in shaping, delivering, and scaling renewable energy projects in the German market , overseeing the full project lifecycle and working closely with internal and external stakeholders.

Key responsibilities include:

• Leading renewable energy projects from early-stage development through RTB and beyond
• Managing permitting, grid connection, land acquisition, environmental studies, and stakeholder engagement
• Overseeing project execution, including EPC coordination, construction management, commissioning, and handover
• Driving schedule, budget, risk, and quality management across the portfolio
• Acting as a senior interface with authorities, grid operators, landowners, investors, lenders, and partners
• Supporting commercial decisions , investment cases, and project valuations
• Contributing to portfolio strategy, market expansion, and process optimisation
• Building, mentoring, and leading high-performing project development and/or project management teams
• Representing the business at a senior level within the German renewable energy ecosystem

Your Background

We are looking for experienced renewable energy professionals with a strong track record in Germany.

You will ideally bring:

• 5+ years’ experience in renewable energy project development and/or project management
• Proven experience delivering Wind, Solar PV, and/or BESS projects
• Hands-on involvement in projects from concept through RTB and into construction/operations
• Strong understanding of the German regulatory, permitting, and grid connection landscape
• Experience working with municipalities, permitting authorities, TSOs/DSOs, and landowners
• Commercial and strategic mindset, with the ability to operate at senior stakeholder level
• Leadership experience or clear potential to step into Head / Executive responsibilities
• Fluency in German and English
