(Sr.) ENGINEER RIDE & HANDLING TUNING (M/F/D)

To start shortly, we are currently seeking an (Sr.) Engineer Ride & Handling Tuning (M/F/D)

Test and development of ride & handling performance attributes to meet development targets
Subjective evaluation and benchmarking of ride comfort, handling (inc. limit) and steering characteristics
Verification and tuning of chassis systems inc. K&C characteristics, shock absorber and other suspension components.
Performance target definition for full vehicle, system and components level of new vehicle projects
Identification of latest market and technology trends / Scouting and implementation of latest development tools
Project planning and execution to ensure optimal usage of budget and resources to meet expected timeframe
Documenting and reporting of project & development results
Close communication and collaboration with HMETC internal departments and R&D Center in Namyang (South Korea)

Degree in mechanical / automotive engineering with clear knowledge and passion for vehicle dynamics
Min. 3 years of related experience in suspension development and tuning for an automotive OEM or tier 1 supplier
Proven subjective evaluation skills in ride and handling areas (e.g. damper systems, steering, ESC and chassis components)
Clear understanding of fundamental suspension design / K&C principals and its impact on subjective R&H performance
Knowledge and experience of working in a Premium European OEM using state-of-the-art technologies would be desired
A full valid B driving license with a proven ability for dynamic vehicle control up to and over the limit
Willingness for frequent travel to various test locations and proving grounds across Europe and globally
Excellent analytical skills with a hands‑on proactive approach and problem‑solving mentality
A very good command of English, intercultural & communication skills
Proficient in presenting, reporting and handling Microsoft applications like PowerPoint and Excel
