Senior ML Engineer

department to help us on our journey to revolutionize road freight logistics. The role is located in our

Berlin

and

Barcelona

offices. What You Will Do Design, develop, and maintain production-grade pricing algorithms Build and optimize machine learning models for supply/demand forecasting, price elasticity estimation, and customer lifetime value prediction Develop online learning systems such as multi-armed bandits to dynamically optimize pricing strategies Develop sophisticated experimentation and causal inference methodologies to measure the impact of pricing strategies Collaborate with business stakeholders, product managers, and other engineering teams to translate commercial strategies into scalable solutions Implement robust monitoring and alerting systems to ensure pricing models perform as expected and identify opportunities for optimization Develop attribution models to measure the revenue impact of pricing decisions and algorithm improvements Stay current with pricing research, economic modelling techniques, and advanced ML methodologies relevant to pricing optimization What We Are Looking For Hands-on experience in leading technical development of AI/ML systems for pricing or related business use cases in production environments Deep understanding of machine learning and statistical modelling concepts; proficiency in Python and ML frameworks (scikit-learn, XGBoost, PyTorch, JAX) Strong foundation in experimental design, statistical testing, and decision-making under uncertainty Problem-solving mindset with focus on reliability, scalability, and rapid iteration Excellent communication skills, with a comfort level in explaining technical trade-offs to diverse audiences ranging from developers to stakeholders Nice to have Familiarity with MLOps tools and practices (Docker, Kubernetes), model versioning systems, and infrastructure automation (e.g., Terraform) Background in advanced data engineering concepts such as real-time streaming, large-scale ETL workflows, or AI-specific data pipelines Experience deploying models at scale and creating fault-tolerant architectures Experience with reinforcement learning applications in pricing or revenue optimization Knowledge of game theory, auction mechanisms, or marketplace dynamics Why Choose sennder We believe in empowering our people to grow beyond their limits, embrace challenges, and create solutions that drive our collective success.
