Your Tasks

• Planning, management, and implementation of procurement targets and strategies for selected material areas: metal/CFRP and plastics, electronics
• Optimization of the supplier portfolio through active development in terms of quality, commercial, and technical aspects
• Processing of material groups (savings potential, portfolio optimization)
• Identification, selection, and development of new suppliers
• Preparation of inquiries and offer comparisons as well as price/value analyses
• Planning and execution of condition negotiations as well as preparation and optimization of general contract, delivery, and payment conditions
• Design and implementation of cost reduction programs
• Contact person in case of escalation for logistical and quality-related issues
• Monitoring of the procurement situation for series products
• Supporting the development department in the product development process and advising on component and supplier selection
• First point of contact for project issues in the areas of CFRP and AM

Your Qualifications

• Successfully completed commercial or technical studies
• Experience in international strategic purchasing for a manufacturing company, preferably in the aerospace or defense sector in product groups such as complete systems made of metal/CFRP and plastic, electronics, formed parts, and purchased parts
• Confident in using SAP and common MS Office applications
• Knowledge of e-procurement desirable
• Strong communication and teamwork skills as well as cross-team thinking
• Assertiveness, negotiating skills, and persuasiveness
• Commitment, strong organizational skills, and the ability to work independently and on your own initiative
• Quality, deadline, and cost awareness, as well as strong analytical skills and a good understanding of technical contexts
• At least business fluent written and spoken English
• Willingness to travel on business
