Do you want to analyze data and develop state‑of‑the‑art tools that support lifetime extension and data‑driven design for offshore wind farms?
We are looking for a Structural Engineer with a strong background in structural dynamics and knowledge of structural health monitoring, to ensure the continuous development and maintenance of our in‑house structural health monitoring tool and the analysis of data from our offshore wind farms. This includes the creation of digital twins by combining operational modal analysis with finite element updating methods. As part of the development of our in‑house tools, you will also analyze data from our existing assets and prepare specialized reports and technical notes with the aim of improving the certainty and methods used for current operations and the design of future offshore wind farms.
We are looking for a Structural Engineer with a solid civil and/or mechanical engineering background, who is able to convert theory and mathematical methods into efficient program code. Your work will enable our Foundation department’s Structural Integrity team to explore the full potential of lifetime extension and data‑driven design and operations for our offshore wind farms.
Your job: As our Structural Engineer for structural health monitoring and in‑house tool development you will be an integral part of Primary Structures team, working with multiple disciplines across the full Vattenfall organization to deliver Digital Twins. You will need to be able to work independently in an international team, where we meet both virtually and physically.
We offer an exciting and challenging job, where you will impact the future of design and operations in one of Europe’s largest offshore wind operators. You will be close to the cutting edge of research within structural health monitoring and have the chance to present your work internally during technical seminars. Beyond being a challenging and inspiring place to work, we value a great work atmosphere and continuous improvement. We offer good remuneration, attractive employment conditions, and opportunities for personal and professional growth.
Location: Office location is Kolding, Copenhagen or Hamburg; occasional travel is expected.
