Join our team as a Working Student and contribute to enhancing FORRS’ quantitative platform for asset optimization in power markets.

Your Challenges

• Assist in the design and implementation of Stochastic Models for Electricity prices
• Explore machine learning and statistical approaches for short-term and long-term price predictions
• Work with historical and real-time electricity market data to develop and refine forecasting models
• Support the development and testing of tools to automate optimization and forecasting processes
• Work with optimization algorithms for energy markets
• Documentation

Your Profile

• Currently enrolled in a Master’s program in fields such as Applied Mathematics, Physics, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Data Science, or a related discipline
• Programming experience in Python (e.g., NumPy, Pandas, SciPy, Scikit-learn, Pyomo) or a similar language and familiarity with Git
• Familiarity with optimization techniques
• Experience with time-series forecasting or machine learning models is a plus
• Knowledge of energy systems, electricity markets, or battery technologies is an advantage.
• Team player with good communication skills and a proactive attitude
• Excellent written and spoken German and English skills.
• Availability of more than 6 months
