Summary

This position is part of the Office of the Chief Human Capital Officer, within the Office of Workforce Technology and Development (OWTD) at the Department of Energy. As a Supervisory Human Resources Specialist, you will be responsible for supervising a team of Human Resources Development Specialists and Management Analysts, who perform a variety of functions in support of the agency's employee development objectives.

Major Duties

• Direct and manage the daily operations of a team of employee development professionals performing various employee development activities, including work assignment, resource allocation, and performance management.
• Plan and evaluate employee development interventions, create training policies, identify priorities, and develop strategies to close competency gaps.
• Research organizational development and learning needs to improve processes related to talent management, including competency assessments, individual development planning, and annual training reports.
• Serve as a senior advisor on career and leadership development issues within the Department of Energy (DOE).
• Partner with organizations to implement a talent management strategy focused on developing, engaging, and retaining a high-performing and diverse workforce.
• Propose and defend a variety of training and development options and clarify technical matters.
