Within Ming Yang’s organizational model, manufacturing and industrial activities are led by upstream teams in China, while delivery, services, logistics and operations are led by downstream teams in Europe, in close coordination with HQ.
About the Role
The Supply Chain Specialist / Engineer – Logistics, Transport & Installation is a Europe-based role responsible for defining, coordinating and supporting all logistics-, transport- and installation-related supply chain activities for MingYang’s onshore and offshore wind projects in Europe. Within MingYang’s organizational split, this role sits fully on the Downstream (Europe) side and owns the technical, commercial and operational interfaces related to delivery and installation, from tendering and pre-contract phases through execution. The role ensures feasibility, cost realism, risk management and effective delivery as projects move from bidding into construction. Given the rapid growth of MingYang’s European business, the scope of this role may evolve over time. Flexibility and a collaborative mindset are therefore essential.
Responsibilities
Tendering & Pre-contract (Europe-led) Lead RFQs related to logistics, transport, ports, yards, pre-assembly, installation, craning, vessels and related services. Define and validate delivery concepts, routing studies, installation methodologies and site constraints. Act as the technical and operational interface with logistics and installation suppliers during tendering. Assess supplier capability, capacity, lead times and execution feasibility. Prepare cost estimates, schedule assumptions and risk registers for logistics and installation scopes. Support NZIA and local content considerations related to logistics and installation. Contribute to supply chain bankability discussions from a delivery and execution perspective.
Execution & Delivery (Europe-led) Own the handover of logistics and installation scopes from contracting into execution. Support Project Managers during delivery, transport and installation phases. Coordinate interfaces with ports, yards, vessels, cranes and service providers. Support issue resolution, expediting and interface management during execution. Capture lessons learned and feed them back into future tenders and delivery concepts.
Qualifications Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering, Logistics, Supply Chain or a related technical field. 3–7 years of experience in logistics, transport, installation or project supply chain (renewables, offshore wind, infrastructure or heavy industry preferred).
Required Skills Strong understanding of logistics and installation concepts in complex projects. Ability to assess technical feasibility, costs and schedules. Strong coordination and communication skills; comfortable working across multiple projects and interfaces. Fluent English required; Proactive, pragmatic mindset with strong ownership and risk awareness.
Preferred Skills Experience in renewables, offshore wind, infrastructure or heavy industry preferred.
