The Baden-Württemberg Municipal Pension Association (KVBW) is a public-law corporation whose areas of business include civil service pensions, subsidies, municipal personnel services, and supplementary pensions. Its geographical area of operation covers the state of Baden-Württemberg. The association is headquartered in Karlsruhe and has a second office in Stuttgart.

The Following Position Is Available In The Technology And Infrastructure Department At Our Office In Karlsruhe To Start As Soon As Possible

System and Network Administrator (m/f/d)

Salary grade A12 LBesO / remuneration grade 11 TVöD, reference number: T 645.26

Your Main Tasks

• Administration and operation of a complex network environment (LAN/WLAN/WAN) as well as continuous development and optimization of network services
• Troubleshooting and 3rd-level support
• Analysis, planning, and implementation of IT security projects
• Design and integration of various hardware and software platforms into IT infrastructures
• Documentation of IT infrastructure changes and processes

We Expect You To Have

• A relevant university degree (e.g., in computer science) or completed training as an IT specialist (m/f/d) in system administration with several years of experience or a comparable qualification
• In-depth knowledge of routing and switching, TCP/IP, routing protocols, application and content security, authentication, network security, proxies, anti-virus, DHCP and DNS network services
• Several years of experience in the administration and configuration of active network components (such as routers, switches, firewalls, and proxies) is an advantage, but not a prerequisite
• Business fluent German (language level C2)
