System Engineer – Defense – M/F/X

Responsibilities

• Analyzing and formalizing network and system specifications aligned with project needs
• Designing technical architectures for systems onboard military vehicles
• Contributing to the integration of telecom and network equipment
• Producing and managing requirements documentation using MBSE practices
• Collaborating with mechanical and electronic designers on harness and cable layout
• Supporting integration and validation teams during testing phases
• Investigating and resolving technical issues and providing corrective actions
• Leading specific technical workstreams and acting as technical focal point for subsystems
• Ensuring requirement traceability throughout the project lifecycle
• Participating in technical reviews (design, documentation, validation)

Profil

You hold a Master's degree in Engineering (Electronics, Telecom, Systems, Computer Science or similar) and have a solid foundation in systems engineering, ideally within defense or critical infrastructure environments.

Must Have

• Experience in Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) with tools like Capella or Enterprise Architect
• Knowledge of network architectures and protocols (TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS, VLAN, serial protocols)
• Experience in telecommunication systems, sensor integration or military communications
• Fluency in English (B2 minimum); French and/or Dutch is a plus
• Rigorous, organized, proactive mindset with strong communication and documentation skills

Nice to Have

• Experience in software development, particularly in integration environments
• Understanding of cybersecurity and encryption systems in military contexts
• Familiarity with defense certification documentation (SSS, SSDD, ICDs)
• Knowledge of IVVQ processes and tools such as DOORS, PLM, JIRA
• Understanding of cabling and harness design (Visio, SolidWorks)
