This platform delivers cloud‑like virtualization "on‑prem" with GitOps‑style management, elastic workloads, and transparent "VM to Kubernetes" interoperability through KubeVirt. Your work enables application teams to run workloads securely, efficiently, and with predictable performance across data centers, while laying the foundation for future Kubernetes‑native platform services.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and operate a Harvester‑ and Kubernetes‑based virtualization platform.
• Integrate distributed storage and manage compute resources across clusters.
• Automate provisioning, lifecycle, troubleshooting, and monitoring using Ansible, GitOps pipelines, and APIs.
• Conduct migrations, performance tuning, benchmarking, and incident response across virtualization estates.
• Collaborate with platform, networking, and storage teams to ensure robust end‑to‑end infrastructure services.

Qualifications

• Strong understanding of virtualization technologies (Harvester, KubeVirt, QEMU/KVM, Proxmox, VMware, or similar).
• Experience with Kubernetes ecosystems, ideally including Helm, CNI, CSI, CRDs, and GitOps workflows.
• Knowledge of distributed storage systems, especially Longhorn (or Ceph).
• Proficiency with Linux systems, debugging, monitoring, and performance tuning.
• Automation experience using Bash, Ansible, Python, Puppet, and infrastructure‑as‑code principles.
