Systems Engineer (m/f/d) Quantum Technologies

You will develop and implement technical solutions for

• Studies and early phases (0 / A / B) projects on quantum technologies
• Implementation projects (mission phases B / C / D / E) with focus on on secure / quantum communication

This translates into daily work with focus on

• Technical coordination / Systems Management
• Trade-offs of technical and programmatic solutions
• Analysis and definition of customer, mission and system requirements
• Specifications of systems and subsystems, interface engineering
• Management of work packages and sub-projects
• Definition of study/development logic, work breakdown and work packages
• Budgets definition and engineering
• Definition and conduction of test campaigns and respective laboratory work

You will participate in or lead proposal creation with focus on quantum technologies and systems, e.g. by defining the technical baseline and/or work logic.

You will participate in or lead proposal creation with focus on quantum technologies and systems, e.g. by defining the technical baseline and/or work logic.

Your Qualifications

• Master/PhD in (aerospace) engineering, physics, mathematics, computer science or equivalent
• Strong understanding of quantum technologies and their industrial application, e.g. quantum key distribution, quantum memories, quantum sensing and entanglement as a resource
• Ideally, experience in the design and implementation of secure and quantum communication systems for ground and space
• Strong solution oriented, self-managed and pro-active working style
• Passion for technology and the motivation to turn ideas into reality
• Ideally, experience in motivating and leading small teams in technical roles
• Professional experience in the space industry or in space-related projects would be an advantage
