Johnson Electric Aachen is a globally operating company of the Johnson Electric Group. In our Aachen development center, our team works in the development of hydraulic systems and sintered metal applications for the automotive industry and industrial applications.
As a Systems Integration Engineer, you will focus on integrating components into complete systems, ensuring compatibility and seamless operation. Your role includes hands-on testing, troubleshooting, and validating system performance through bench and vehicle-level integration. You’ll work across mechanical, electrical, and software domains to deliver advanced hydraulic systems for automotive applications.This opportunity is initially available on a two year fixed-term contract with the potential to transition to a permanent arrangement.
Your Responsibilities will be to:
Develop mechatronic systems according to the V-Model in compliance with automotive standardsUnderstand system requirements with focus on motor, electronics and software subsystems, define sub-systems and interfacesCoordinate with global expert teamsDesign and develop systems and system architectures based on customer requirements and for internal development activitiesSupport in defining the testing strategy and scope and support testing and validation on system and integration levelWork closely with customer and inter-company development teams
Our requirements:
Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, Embedded systems, Mechatronics or related fieldsPrevious experience in similar roles is considered as a plus; fresh graduates are welcome to apply.Extensive knowledge and experience of electromechanical systemsExperience with BLDC motor controller HW design, circuit analysis and microprocessors for BLDC control applicationsExperience with CAN, LIN communication protocolsKnowledge of Functional Safety, Cyber security is a plusKnowledge of V-Model development processes and ASPICE is a plusPractical experience with electronic test equipment and Vector Hardware are considered as a plusSolid experience in common development tools (e.g. Matlab, Simulink)Familiarity with tools which manage requirements (e.g. Doors, Helix) is a plusSolid understanding of physical principlesExcellent team player with a proactive, hands-on attitude, strong communication and problem-solving skillsProficiency in English (both spoken and written), while proficiency in German is highly preferred
