Tax Manager - VAT and Tax Reporting

EMEA Recruitment is exclusively supporting a leading global organization in the search for a Tax Manager to take ownership of VAT and international tax reporting within a complex, multinational environment.

This is a high-impact role with strong exposure to senior stakeholders.

You will act as a key expert for VAT and global tax reporting, working across multiple jurisdictions and business units.

The position combines hands-on delivery with strategic input, offering the opportunity to influence tax processes, systems, and future operating models.

This role is located in München, Germany.

Key Responsibilities of the Tax Manager- VAT and Tax Reporting:

• Lead VAT analysis and assess impact on international charging flows

• Oversee tax reporting under IFRS, including GloBE and Country-by-Country Reporting

• Drive improvements in tax processes, including automation and standardisation

• Support audits and provide guidance on complex VAT matters, particularly in digital business models

• Act as a trusted partner to senior stakeholders and provide strategic tax input

• Contribute to financial close processes and broader tax compliance activities

• Involvement in tax transformation initiatives, including process optimisation, automation, and potential AI applications

• Close collaboration with Finance, Controlling, and Group Tax teams, as well as international stakeholders

Candidate Profile:

• Degree in Business Administration, Economics in a similar discipline

• Strong knowledge of German tax regulations

• Strong experience in VAT and international tax reporting within a multinational environment

• Solid understanding of IFRS

• Comfortable operating independently with a high level of ownership

• Experience working with SAP

• Fluent in English and German
