Tax Underwriter

Overview

A leading global insurance group is seeking to hire a Tax Underwriter as it continues to expand its transactional risk offering. With a strong international platform, deep carrier relationships, and an ambitious growth strategy, the business is well-placed to deliver continued growth across Europe.

Responsibilities

• Assess, structure, and underwriting tax liability policies across a wide range of cross-border transactions.
• Work closely with brokers, advisors, and deal teams to be at the heart of high-value international M&A activity.
• Underwrite tax liability insurance policies for complex, high-value transactions; review transaction documents, diligence reports, and deal structures to identify and assess risk.
• Lead underwriting projects while managing and developing relationships with brokers, law firms, and clients across Europe.

Qualifications

• German qualified lawyer with 3-8 years\' PQE gained at a recognised international or leading domestic firm.
• Strong corporate or M&A experience with a proven track record of leading on the tax aspects of transactions and advising on cross-border deals.
• Confident communicator able to engage credibly with senior deal professionals; demonstrates ambition, proactivity, and drive to build a career in an M&A-driven market.
