The position on offer is permanent. Payment will be made according to pay group 13TV-L Wissenschaft.
The degree course “Primary Education” (Lehramt an Grundschulen) was introduced at the University of Greifswald in winter semester 2020/2021. English can be selected as a third subject for the degree course. Teaching follows the guiding principles of qualifying experts for children, working in a regional network (campus schools) and facing up to the transformation processes, especially with regard to digitalisation, heterogeneity and inclusion as central challenges of future-oriented primary school education. The position on offer is responsible for the training of future primary teachers in the elective subject English, in the field of anglophone literature and cultural studies. With a view to the global changes to society, this area of teacher training focuses on the development of practice-oriented academic skills with the goal of teaching and promoting the theoretical and linguistic aspects of diversity and inclusion with the help of the lingua franca"English.
