Tasks

• Lead the IT team managing all specialized applications, whether off-the-shelf or custom-made.
• Shape a resilient IT architecture to support the strategic growth
• Develop and maintain an application landscape roadmap.
• Analyze business requirements and drive innovation through emerging technologies.
• Ensure compliance with Lufthansa Group policies, including user rights management.
• Lead, motivate, and develop team members with effective structures and processes.
• Provide second- and third-level support for user-raised tickets.
• Plan and manage the IT budget for the cost center.
• Oversee quality assurance for high availability of critical applications.
• Guide agile development, including collaboration with external developers.
• Ensure applications meet organizational needs and cost-efficiency goals.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree (or higher) in Business Information Systems, IT, Economics, Logistics, or a related field.
• At least 5 years of leadership experience, preferably in IT or related fields.
• Proven experience with agile and lean methodologies.
• Extensive expertise in requirements engineering, process management, and project management.
• Strong intercultural skills
• Effective motivator
• Fluency in English; German desirable
