The Opportunity

On behalf of a global medical technology company with its EMEA headquarters in Berlin , we are hiring a Team Lead Assembly to strengthen its manufacturing operations.

Our client develops and produces highly reliable, technology-driven systems used in clinical and surgical environments worldwide . The organization combines hardware, software, and data intelligence , operating under strict quality and safety standards.

This is a hands-on leadership role with real impact on production performance, team development, and continuous improvement.

Your Responsibilities

• Plan and manage daily assembly operations , ensuring safety, quality, and productivity
• Drive process improvements to increase efficiency and reduce bottlenecks
• Implement enhancements to equipment, facilities, and workflows
• Ensure compliance with operational, safety, and quality standards
• Work closely with engineering, quality, supply chain, and operations teams
• Lead and develop a team of up to 8 assembly technicians
• Promote a culture of ownership, accountability, and performance
• Conduct performance reviews, coaching, and employee development
• Coordinate and enforce standard operating procedures and policies

Candidate Profile

• Technical background in Electrical Engineering or a related field
• Experience in assembly or manufacturing environments , ideally within regulated industries (MedTech, electronics, industrial manufacturing)
• Previous team leadership or senior technician experience
• Structured, improvement-driven mindset with strong communication skills
• Comfortable operating in a hands-on, fast-growing production environment

Education

• Master electrician specialising in media technology, technician or engineer with bachelor's degree in media technology.

Experience

• min. 5 years of work experience in the assembly of electronic components
• min. 3 years of leadership experience in a comparable position.

Knowledge, skills, and abilities

• Up-to-date IT skills in MS-Office, web and database systems
• Written and spoken English/German
• User experience or production planning and optimization
