A fast-growing, international consumer-facing company is looking for a Team Lead Demand Planning to shape and drive its demand planning strategy across a broad and complex portfolio.

This is a permanent, Munich-based leadership role with high visibility and direct impact on forecast accuracy, inventory optimisation, operational efficiency, and revenue performance. You will lead a team of demand planners while continuously evolving forecasting methodologies, tools, and processes to support proactive, data-driven decision-making at scale.

What you'll do

  • Own and lead the end-to-end demand forecasting process across the full SKU portfolio, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and alignment with business objectives
  • Monitor and continuously optimise forecast accuracy KPIs (MAPE, Bias, Rolling Forecast Error), driving root cause analysis and implementing sustainable, structural improvements
  • Continuously evolve forecasting methodologies, including the application of advanced analytics and machine learning techniques
  • Lead strategic demand planning initiatives such as business expansion and other high-impact, cross-functional priority projects
  • Drive strong cross-functional alignment with Sales, Marketing, Finance, and Operations by integrating market intelligence, demand drivers, and promotional strategies into forecasting decisions
  • Champion process innovation through automation, analytical enhancements, and workflow improvements to increase forecasting precision and efficiency
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a team of four demand planners, setting clear priorities, ensuring consistent planning standards, and building expertise in advanced forecasting techniques and cross-functional collaboration

What you bring

  • A degree in Supply Chain, Business Analytics, Statistics, Economics, Industrial Engineering, or a related field
  • 6+ years of experience in demand planning or supply chain analytics within complex, multi-SKU and multi-region environments
  • Advanced knowledge of statistical and machine learning forecasting methods (e.g. time-series modelling, multivariate regression), with strong command of KPIs such as MAPE and forecast bias
  • Proven ability to design, implement, and continuously improve forecasting models and demand planning processes
  • Strong analytical and structured mindset, with the ability to translate complex data into actionable insights and business decisions
  • First proven leadership experience combined with a strong ownership mentality and accountability for forecast quality, availability, and revenue impact
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the confidence to align, challenge, and influence senior stakeholders in a complex, cross-functional environment
  • Strong Excel and SQL skills; experience with BI tools such as Tableau or Power BI is a plus

What's on offer

  • Competitive salary of €94,000 – €102,000 gross per year + benefits, depending on experience
  • Permanent leadership role with strategic visibility and measurable impact
  • Hybrid working model with a Munich office base
  • International, high-performance environment with strong collaboration and growth opportunities
