Overview

Raw materials - especially resins - are a critical sourcing category with significant impact on our success. We are seeking an experienced leader to manage global supplier relationships and drive strategic procurement for a purchasing volume exceeding CHF 300 million.

Responsibilities

Lead and develop a team of 5 Strategic Sourcing Managers
Lead global strategic sourcing of plastic raw materials, coordinating with Category Managers, Lead Buyers, and key stakeholders
Develop and execute sourcing strategies aligned with business objectives for cost, availability, quality, and sustainability
Build and guide a global network across Procurement, R&D, Product Management, and Sustainability
Provide strategic direction to senior management and report key results to the CPO
Manage supplier performance, risk, and development initiatives to secure availability in challenging markets
Deliver market analysis and forecasts on price and supply trends

Your Profile

A bachelor’s or master’s degree in engineering, production, supply chain, or business administration
10+ years’ experience in strategic procurement in a manufacturing environment, ideally plastics
Experience in leading teams
Strong negotiation and contract management skills with excellent communication skills
Analytical, strategic, and execution-oriented mindset
Experience in matrix and decentralized organizations
Proficiency in ERP systems (SAP/Oracle)
Fluent in English and German
Willingness to travel (approx. 20%)
