Team Lead SAP Automotive (m/f/d)

As Team Lead SAP Automotive , you will lead an interdisciplinary team responsible for cross‑module SAP processes across the entire automotive value chain – from supplier and inbound supply chain through production, logistics, sales & distribution to finance and consolidation processes. You will drive the further development of our SAP system landscape and take ownership of strategically important programs and transformation initiatives in an automotive environment.

What this position is about:

Functional & Technical Leadership

• Lead a team of SAP experts with a focus on SAP Automotive (SD, MM, PP, EWM, FI/CO, GRC, BPC or Group Reporting)
• Ensure stable and efficient end‑to‑end processes across supply chain, production, logistics, and finance
• Own the integration of OEM and Tier 1/Tier 2 automotive processes such as JIT/JIS, delivery schedules, EDI, and batch traceability
• Optimize finance and consolidation processes including Group Reporting and intercompany reconciliation
• Support quarter‑end and year‑end closing by setting up relevant processes and ensuring smooth execution
• Contribute to the implementation of the company strategy within the SAP and automotive process landscape
• Take overall responsibility for SAP programs such as S/4HANA transformations, process harmonization, and digitalization initiatives
• Manage project portfolios, budgets, roadmaps, and resources
• Collaborate closely with IT architecture, data management, finance, operations, and external partners
• Ensure compliance, cybersecurity standards, and governance within the SAP environment
• Build a service provider framework for managing software vendors (e.g. AFO)

Operational Control & Stakeholder Management

• Prioritize and manage changes, releases, and incident management
• Facilitate workshops, decision meetings, and steering committees
• Communicate with global business functions, production sites, and international teams
• Ensure clear and effective communication with customers and stakeholders
• Build and develop global teams in Serbia, Canada, and Mexico

What is required for this role:

• High self‑motivation with the ability to identify, build, and implement new topics independently and successfully
• Very good English skills
• Completed degree in business informatics, computer science, industrial engineering, or a comparable field
• Several years of experience in an automotive environment with strong understanding of OEM and Tier processes
• Solid SAP expertise across multiple modules such as SD, MM, PP, EWM, FI/CO, IAM, and Group Reporting
• Experience leading large SAP programs or transformation projects
• Strong leadership and teamwork skills, excellent communication abilities, and a customer‑oriented mindset
• Advantageous experience with S/4HANA, EDI standards, reporting architectures, and data models
