Responsibilities

• Team Leadership: Manage and mentor a team of tax assistants and specialists overseeing their professional development and daily operations.
• Strategic Advisory: Provide comprehensive tax consulting services to a high-value portfolio of clients including corporations and high-net-worth individuals.
• Operational Oversight: Review complex tax returns and annual financial statements ensuring the highest level of accuracy and compliance.
• Client Management: Serve as the primary point of contact for key clients fostering long-term partnerships through proactive and strategic advice.
• Process Optimization: Lead the digitalization of internal tax processes and implement efficient workflows within the team.
• Audit & Representation: Represent clients in complex tax audits and handle specialized proceedings with tax authorities.

Qualifications

• Certification: Successfully passed the German Tax Advisor (Steuerberater) examination.
• Experience: Several years of experience in tax consultancy with a proven track record in a leadership or supervisory capacity.
• Expertise: Expert knowledge of German tax law and financial reporting (HGB); international tax knowledge is a plus.
• Leadership Skills: Strong ability to lead, motivate and develop staff within a collaborative environment.
• Digital Literacy: Advanced proficiency in DATEV and a strong affinity for digital office solutions.
• Languages: Native or fluent proficiency in German (C2) is essential; professional English skills are advantageous.
