Team Lead – C++ Software Development (m/f/d)

Location: Hanover (Remote flexibility within Germany)

Type: Full-time | Hybrid (2 days remote, 3 days on-site)

Language Requirement: C1-level German (minimum) and strong English skills

Your Role:

• Technical Leadership: Guide a team of software engineers in the development of modern, scalable applications in C++ for Windows-based systems .
• Architecture & Strategy: Design and evaluate robust software architectures and lead technical decisions that align with business goals.
• Agile Management: Work in a modern agile environment, mentoring your team and ensuring high development standards across all phases.
• Code Review & Innovation: Drive best practices through structured code and architecture reviews, and foster a culture of continuous improvement.
• Vulnerability Analysis: Identify weak spots in legacy code and propose performance-optimising solutions.
• Stakeholder Collaboration: Act as a key interface between development and business stakeholders to ensure aligned delivery.
• People Development: Set goals, give feedback, and help team members grow both professionally and personally.

Your Profile:

• University degree in Computer Science , Software Engineering, or a related technical field
• Proven experience in a leadership role within software development (preferably agile teams)
• Strong technical background in C++ development (Windows-based environments)
• Experience with software architecture , quality assurance, and development standards
• Bonus: Familiarity with Qt framework and SQL is a plus , not a must
• Empathetic, communicative, and capable of inspiring and guiding a team
• Strong analytical thinking and a structured, quality-focused work approach
• Fluent German (C1 minimum) and good written/spoken English are essential
