Technical Assistant - Quality Control

Job Summary

We are looking for a Technical Assistant to support the operations and activities of a Quality Control Laboratory focused on molecular biology–based assays. The role is predominantly laboratory-based with some routine administrative tasks, such as report writing and document archiving.

Key Duties

• Support QC laboratory organization, supply levels, and workflow
• Monitor reagent and sample inventory, expiration dates, and storage conditions
• Support routine QC testing, assessment of results, and confirmation against acceptance criteria
• Assist with ordering and receiving laboratory supplies and reagents, collaborating with other departments where required
• Prepare, label, and store reagents and solutions according to established procedures
• Maintain records according to corresponding SOPs and Good Documentation Practice (GDP)

Qualifications

• BSc in Molecular Biology or an equivalent Life Science discipline
• BTA / CTA qualification with experience in molecular biology
• At least 2–3 years of relevant experience
• Good command of written and spoken German and English
• Experience with molecular biology techniques (e.g., PCR, qPCR, spectrophotometry)
• Strong organizational skills with a methodical approach to work
• Experience in the safe handling of chemicals and reagents
• Ability to interact effectively with interdisciplinary teams at different levels
• Strong attention to detail
• Experience working under ISO 13485 standards is an advantage
