Technical Project Manager - Eurofighter Flight Control Joint Team

Airbus Defence and Space is looking for a Technical Project Manager to provide technical leadership and coordination of development projects in Eurofighter flight control systems.

Tasks and Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate technical project activities, particularly for the P4E upgrade program.
• Define, plan, and monitor technical work packages and milestones.
• Ensure compliance with technical specifications, quality standards, and aviation regulations.
• Coordinate technical interfaces with internal departments, external partners, and customers.
• Manage risk and develop mitigation strategies for technical project risks.
• Create and maintain technical documentation, reports, and presentations.
• Manage reviews and verification activities for flight control systems.
• Participate in and lead technical working groups and steering committees.
• Support preparation of offers and contract negotiations from a technical perspective.

Desired Skills and Qualifications

• Master’s or Diploma in Aerospace Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or comparable technical field.
• Minimum 5 years of experience in project management and development of flight control systems or complex avionics, ideally in a military environment.
• In‑depth knowledge of the Eurofighter system architecture, especially flight control systems, is advantageous.
• Experience with agile development methods and classic project‑management frameworks (e.g., PMI, PRINCE2).
• Proven ability to lead and motivate interdisciplinary teams.
• Strong communication and presentation skills at negotiation level in English required; German language skills are advantageous.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
• Independent working style, resilience, and assertiveness.
• Willingness to travel within scope of international project cooperation.
