Technical Superintendent

We are seeking an experienced Technical Superintendent to oversee the technical management of bitumen tankers. This role is critical to ensuring vessel safety, compliance, and operational efficiency while supporting the fleet strategy.

Key Responsibilities

• Manage the technical performance of assigned tankers, ensuring compliance with class, flag, and international regulations
• Plan and supervise dry dockings, repairs, and maintenance activities
• Implement and monitor planned maintenance systems (PMS)
• Control budgets for technical operations and ensure cost efficiency
• Conduct root cause analysis for technical issues and implement corrective actions
• Liaise with shipboard teams, vendors, and classification societies
• Ensure timely procurement and delivery of spares and equipment
• Support QHSE initiatives and maintain high safety standards

Qualifications & Experience

• Degree in Marine Engineering or equivalent
• Minimum 5 years’ experience as Technical Superintendent or similar role
• Strong knowledge of tanker operations, preferably bitumen tankers
• Familiarity with PMS and dry dock management
• Excellent communication and leadership skills
