Your Job

As a Test & Validation Engineer, you will be an essential member of our Engineering Validation Team at Molex VAS (Vehicle Antenna Systems) in Hildesheim. In this role, you will be responsible for developing and managing test concepts for the verification and validation of mechanical and electrical parts and components. The aim is to ensure that the parts meet OEM requirements, quality standards and service‑life requirements from the prototype stage through to series production.

What You Will Do

  • Develop requirements and derive test cases from requirements, drawings and specifications.
  • Design, build and specify test benches, fixtures, adapters and test equipment.
  • Develop and manage complete test concepts, including test plans in accordance with OEM specifications, detailed test procedures (e.g., PVP&R), selection of test equipment, measurement set‑up and acceptance criteria.
  • Document and trace test ↔ requirement.
  • Plan, manage and conduct validation and verification tests, including functionality, environmental performance, endurance testing, service life, reliability and EMC.
  • Conduct Design Validation (DV) and Product Validation (PV) activities and deliver milestone results on time.
  • Coordinate with internal teams and external suppliers to support validation and testing requirements.
  • Evaluate measurement results (e.g., statistical analysis).
  • Support root cause analyses, technical evaluations and derive corrective actions.
  • Create test reports, instructions and protocols, and review and evaluate external laboratory reports.
  • Maintain and manage validation databases (test tracking, results documentation, SharePoint, etc.) and present results to customers.

Who You Are

  • Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, Electrical Engineering or Physics.
  • Solid understanding of mechanical principles (static, impact, fatigue and thermal effects).
  • Experience in mechanical and/or electrical development.
  • Initial experience in a validation environment (e.g., ISO 17025 certified testing laboratories).
  • Experience in the automotive sector is desirable.
  • Analytical thinking and a structured approach, strong teamwork and communication skills.
  • Willingness to travel to suppliers and customers.
  • Fluent English (spoken and written) and good German (spoken and written).
