Overview

We are seeking an experienced Sales Engineer with strong expertise in formwork systems, ideally within Qatar or the wider Middle East region. Experience in the Oil & Gas sector is highly preferred. The candidate must be fluent in English and Arabic.

Responsibilities

  • Build and maintain strong client relationships, identify business opportunities, and secure new projects.
  • Review project requirements and propose appropriate formwork and scaffolding solutions.
  • Prepare technical and commercial proposals, including quotations and negotiation of terms.
  • Coordinate project delivery in collaboration with engineering, logistics, and operations teams.
  • Monitor project profitability, follow up on payments, and track relevant market developments.
  • Promote PERI products and advise customers regarding cost-effective formwork and shoring solutions.
  • Engage with contractors (general and sub-contractors) who carry out concrete work and analyze drawings to develop preliminary concepts for formwork and shoring solutions using PERI products.
  • Discuss commercial strategies with the Head of Sales to secure projects with the best price-quality outcome and share concepts with Design Engineers for winning designs, shop drawings, and material lists.
  • Confirm material availability with Offer Engineer and Material Demand Planner prior to offer creation.
  • Analyze the geographical sector for clients, projects, and products; acquire new clients; manage projects from client request to return of material and payment of invoices; report progress to Management.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering.
  • 5–10 years of relevant industry experience.
  • Strong knowledge of formwork and scaffolding principles and applications.
  • Excellent communication, client-handling, and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong technical background combined with proven sales performance.
  • Motivated, customer-focused, and able to drive results.
  • Fluency in English and Arabic essential.

Knowledge, Skills And Experience

  • Degree in Civil Engineering (or related field).
  • Bilingual: Arabic & English.
  • 5+ years’ experience in formwork & scaffolding sales in the Middle East; strong technical knowledge with proven sales ability; driven, customer-focused, and ready to make an impact.
  • Ideally knowledge of Qatar construction market and/or GCC construction market.
  • Technical knowledge of PERI products and their use.
  • Construction experience (general contractor, formwork, etc.).
  • Good negotiation skills; responsible, self-motivated.
  • Excellent team player with high collaboration with other Sales engineers, Logistics & Technical team.
  • Entrepreneurial with very good communication skills.
  • Strong command of Arabic and good command of English is a pre-requisite.

Job Purpose

Sales Engineers will use their sales skills to secure projects for PERI, with the highest price-quality possible and the most favorable terms and conditions.

Main Accountabilities/Duties

  • Promote PERI products and advise customers regarding the most cost-effective formwork and shoring solutions.
  • Sales consultations with contractors (general and sub-contractors) who carry out the concrete work.
  • Analyze drawings and develop preliminary concepts for formwork and shoring solutions using PERI products.
  • Discuss commercial strategies with the Head of Sales to secure projects with optimal price-quality balance.
  • Discuss concepts internally with Design Engineers who develop winning designs, shop drawings, and material lists.
  • Coordinate with Offer Engineer and Material Demand Planner on material availability prior to offer creation.
  • Analyze the geographical sector in terms of clients, projects, and products.
  • Acquire new clients and manage projects from client request to return of material and payment of invoices.
  • Report project progress, client relations, and follow-up project development to Management.
