Senior Executive Freight Management in the PERI Group.

Main Tasks And Responsibilities

• Leads freight management support for procurement, logistics, SCM on all import/export activities.
• Manages the end-to-end process of freight management including forwarding, transportation & customs clearance, providing a central point of contact for the total import/export process.
• Responsible for preparation and review of invoices or credit notes both to and from PERI subsidiaries within guidelines of group directives and material management best practices.
• Supports customer service team in PSD project related order administration in accordance with the PERI business models as required.
• Works with operations and material manager to support import/export activities including OC, related to fulfilling inventory shortages & supporting material exchange.
• Drives continuous improvements in freight processes and leads in key inputs.
• Accountable for overseeing the freight team, spearheading their growth, and guiding the performance appraisal procedures.
• Trains, mentors, and inspires the Freight management team through comprehensive training and coaching.
• Forges a robust collaboration with our Singapore counterparts, facilitating flawless alignment on freight and material management matters, while also offering steadfast support whenever required.

Competencies And Experiences

• At least 3-4 years of working experience in logistics/material management.
• Planning, purchasing, and procurement experience is required for this position.
• Must have good verbal and written English, Bahasa Malaysia & Mandarin language skills.
• Knowledge of import/export procedures, documentation, and custom regulations is an advantage.
• Must possess a valid import/export license or be willing to obtain a certification.
