Trustee with Fundraising experience

Overview

The client is seeking a director with extensive fundraising experience to help develop and implement a successful fundraising plan. The candidate should have expertise in philanthropy, state funding, corporate support, and organizing fundraising events, ideally with experience in the charity nonprofit sector. The role involves collaborating with the client to enhance revenue streams, as well as fostering partnerships with new community partners and corporate social responsibility opportunities, including interactions with media and key influencers.

Responsibilities

This position requires developing and implementing an integrated strategic fundraising plan to strengthen the client's brand identity. Responsibilities include assisting with grant applications, exploring funding opportunities, providing expertise and guidance in community fundraising activities, and building and enhancing donor relationships. The role also involves engaging with external stakeholders and forming partnerships to develop sustainable funding sources for the charity. It is essential that board members possess a working knowledge of the voluntary sector in Ireland, alongside familiarity with corporate governance requirements and relevant legislation.

Qualifications

Board members are tasked with advocating for the organization while upholding its reputation and adhering to the highest standards of corporate governance. They must demonstrate honesty, fairness, and independence in their role. Participation in board meetings, which are held in Dublin or online, is expected, with a minimum of four and a maximum of six meetings each year.
