Hundreds of engineering tools. One platform to connect them to AI agents. We need the designer who can.
Integrating a couple of software tools for mechanical engineers into an AI automation platform is hard. Integrating 100+ and making them accessible to both human engineers and AI agents? That's a design challenge. We're looking for someone who can translate tool-specific complexity into visual patterns that scale, unlock complex engineering tools for AI agents to work with, and help our users automate their day‑to‑day in days, not months.
We are looking for an experienced UI/UX Designer to shape how engineers interact with complex simulation and analysis tools through our automation platform, from visual programming interfaces to AI-powered workflow building.
As part of a tightly knit product trio with your Product Manager and Tech Lead in our most technical product team, you'll help define how we integrate engineering tools into our platform. You'll work on translating tool-specific details into abstracted, interchangeable nodes, evolving our 3D viewer to support growing engineering domains, and designing AI-based experiences that help engineers build valuable automations in days instead of months.
At Synera, design isn't a handoff. It's a core part of how we build. You'll bring structure to technical ambiguity, collaborate closely with developers, and ensure that what we ship at lightning pace is not just functional, but truly intuitive for engineering users.
You'll do discovery, map complex and highly technical user journeys, and see the design cycle through concept to high-fidelity prototype. As one of four Synera UI/UX designers, you'll get your hands dirty: From designing individual node interfaces and creating patterns that scale across multiple engineering domains to our AI-based workflow builder that helps users translate their expertise into reliable automations.
Working closely with our users from mechanical engineering, CFD, and optimization backgrounds, you'll get firsthand feedback and real use cases to continuously refine the user experience.
If you're eager to own design at the intersection of complex engineering tools and AI automation, and have a visible impact from day one, we'd love to meet you.
Your responsibilities span the full design cycle:
Drive discovery & feedback loops
You engage with real users (mostly engineers from the aerospace or automotive industries) to gather insights, test assumptions, and continuously improve the experience based on real-world use. You'll learn about their engineering workflows and tool requirements to inform design decisions.
✨ UX concepts and UI design
You organize and facilitate design sessions, uncover and define user journeys for technical workflows, collaborate with the other UI/UX designers on our product's information architecture and prototype ideas in close collaboration with developers. From early concepts to polished designs: you own the experience. This includes designing node interfaces for integrated engineering tools and patterns for tool interchangeability. Oh, and did we mention icons? Lot’s of icons…
