We are looking for a Usability Engineer who ensures our medical software delivers clarity, efficiency, and real value for clinical users. You will bring expertise in user research, usability engineering, and clinical workflows to guide product decisions and elevate our digital experiences.Your responsibilities include:* Evaluate usability and manage use-related risks* Apply the full spectrum of usability methods across the development lifecycle* Support and guide product teams in all usability-related activities* Plan, conduct, and analyze user research with clinical stakeholders (interviews, observations, surveys, usability tests)* Define and refine user requirements* Translate requirements into product concepts in close collaboration with UX designers* Ensure compliance with usability standards (e.g., IEC 62366, ISO 9241)* Advocate for user needs and communicate usability insights to stakeholders* Collaborate with fellow Usability Engineers across multiple parallel projects* Continuously improve UX standards, research methods, and usability practices within the organization # QualificationsRequired:* University degree in Human Factors Engineering, HCI, Psychology, Interaction Design or a related field* 2–4 years of experience in usability engineering or strong foundational knowledge in the discipline* Hands-on experience with qualitative research (interviews, usability tests, observations) and insight synthesis* Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects in parallel* Confidence in clinical environments and ease in collaborating with healthcare professionals* Strong communication and facilitation skills* Fluent English and GermanPreferred:* Familiarity with medical-device usability standards (e.g., IEC 62366)* Experience in risk management* Basic wireframing skills # Additional Information* A mutually-supportive, international team* Opportunity to build career experience in an exciting international company with a lasting impact on medical technology based in Munich* Flexible working hours* Secure bicycle storage room* Subsidized catering service* Subsidized Gold Gym membership* Centrally located, modern work spaces with a 212m^2 roof terraceLocationMunich, Germany #J-18808-Ljbffr
