Vehicle Test Technician

About The Role

The Vehicle Test Technician will set up, conduct, and assist in the analysis of a vehicle test to ensure data meets design specifications established by Customers.

Responsibilities

• Knowledge of basics of Passenger Car, Light Truck and Vehicle Brake Systems.
• Fit and function incoming parts on a Vehicle.
• Understanding of physical measurements of test components.
• Startup of Data Acquisition equipment including LINK V-MAX.
• Install and troubleshoot Data Acquisition equipment, basic sensors, and thermocouples on a vehicle.
• Knowledge of different pressure transducers.
• Measure rotor LRO / DTV & understand LRO / DTV basics.
• Read rotor mapping plots.
• Monitor tests in progress to ensure they are running to specification.
• Ensure test results are complete and accurate.
• Assist with test activities and question specifications for new tests.
• Perform vehicle tests like NVH & Performance brake tests / Tire abrasion tests.
• Ensure work is performed in a safe manner using all available safety equipment.

Skills

• Education in Vehicle Mechanics or comparable
• Experience in brake system and suspensions / wheel alignment measurement
• Completed coursework in digital electronics, circuit functions and basic electronics preferred.
• Ability to understand priorities and meet deadlines.
• Ability to bring projects to completion in a timely and efficient manner.
• Ability to work well in a Team environment.
• Solid verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Strong organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Basic Microsoft Office knowledge
• Basic English Speaking
