For our client, a leading global universal bank with its European headquarters in Frankfurt, we are currently looking for a Vice President - Operative Regulatory Reporting - Banking (gn) to strengthen the team.

Purpose of job

This role is responsible for the operational execution and further development of regulatory reporting obligations within the Finance function, covering end-to-end responsibility for the timely, accurate, and compliant delivery of supervisory reports to regulatory authorities. The role also acts as a key interface between Finance, Risk, IT, and Compliance, ensuring that reporting processes are robust, well-documented, and aligned with evolving regulatory requirements.

Tasks

• Take end-to-end responsibility for the preparation, quality assurance, and timely submission of regulatory reports, with the key focus being on statistical reporting
• Own and continuously optimise reporting processes, data flows, and internal controls to ensure data integrity, completeness, and compliance with applicable regulatory frameworks such as the CRR and ECB statistical reporting requirements.
• Act as a central point of contact for regulatory authorities in matters relating to statistical reporting, coordinating and managing queries, follow-up requests, and audits in a professional and timely manner.
• Collaborate closely with Finance, Risk Controlling, Treasury, and IT to ensure the consistent and accurate mapping of source data to reporting requirements, proactively identifying and resolving data quality issues.
• Monitor regulatory developments and assess the impact of new or amended reporting obligations on existing processes, systems, and data models; lead implementation projects to operationalise regulatory changes end-to-end.

Requirements

• University degree in Business Administration, Economics, Finance, Mathematics, or a comparable quantitative discipline; advanced degrees or professional qualifications (e.g., CFA, FRM) are an advantage.
• Several years of professional experience in a regulatory reporting or advisory role within a financial institution or consulting firm.
• In-depth knowledge of relevant regulatory reporting frameworks, particularly AnaCredit, BISTA (External Sector Statistics), FINREP, COREP, and ECB/Bundesbank statistical reporting requirements.
• Strong analytical skills and a structured, detail-oriented approach to data analysis, reconciliation, and root-cause investigation of reporting discrepancies.
• Proficiency in working with large datasets and reporting tools; practical experience with SQL, BI tools (e.g., Tableau, Power BI), or data management platforms is desirable; knowledge of SAP or comparable ERP/finance systems is beneficial.
