What To Expect

We are currently seeking a highly talented and experienced Video Editor to join our multidisciplinary Design Studio team in Berlin. As a Video Editor, you will be responsible for both creative and logistical aspects of video projects covering the full range of Tesla products and innovations from automotive to sustainable energy and beyond. You will oversee video projects from post-production to final launch, ensuring videos are completed on time and within budget while maintaining Tesla's video standards. This role is post-production-focused, and the ideal candidate is passionate about storytelling through editing, has strong editing experience, and is comfortable assisting with on-set needs, or pre-production when required. The ideal candidate is highly creative, organized, flexible, detail oriented, and able to manage multiple projects simultaneously, while turning challenges into opportunities for growth.

What You'll Do

• Develop edit-concepts that effectively serve business needs and communicate the vision to stakeholders
• Collaborate closely with creatives to shape stories and define pacing, tone, and structure
• Lead the post-production workflow from ingest to final delivery, including versioning, color, sound, and graphics integration
• Maintain consistency across projects by applying Tesla's visual identity and editorial standards
• Coordinate interdepartmentally within Tesla to align on edit feedback, revisions, and approvals, ensuring all stakeholders are informed and involved in the process
• Troubleshoot technical challenges and ensure delivery specs are met across formats and platforms
• Provide creative guidance and mentorship to other editors and freelancers when needed
• Stay up-to-date on industry trends and relevant A tools, continually looking for ways to improve and elevate Tesla's video content

What You'll Bring

• Bachelor's degree in film, video production, editing, digital media, or a related field
• A minimum of 3–5 years of experience in video editing at an agency, production company, in-house marketing communications, or creative studios
• Strong proficiency in video editing software, such as Adobe Creative Suite (Premiere Pro, After Effects), Final Cut Pro, Avid Media Composer, or DaVinci Resolve
• Creative mindset with strong storytelling skills, pacing, rhythm, and an eye for visual continuity and brand alignment
• Solid understanding of color grading, sound design, and post workflows for both short-form and long-form content
• Excellent communication and time management skills, with the ability to juggle multiple projects under tight deadlines
• Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to work well in a team environment
• Familiarity with basic on-set assistance (if needed) and audio equipment
• Familiarity with asset management systems, proxy workflows, and cloud-based review tools (e.g., Frame.io)
