Valeo’s VIE Program

The Valeo VIE Program is available to citizens of the European Economic Area (EU + Norway, Liechtenstein and Iceland) aged between 18 and 28. This program is to work for one of our subsidiaries around the world. Business France, the French agency for international business development, is in charge of all the administrative procedures of your assignment. Make sure you meet Business France's eligibility criteria to apply for a VIE. Your application must be submitted in English to be considered by our non-French speaking teams partners at Valeo worldwide. As part of your international development, you cannot apply to a VIE assignment in the country of your citizenship.

Location and Business Group

The site of Kronach-Neuses in Germany is part of the Visibility Systems Business Group (VIS). This entity designs and produces innovative, efficient and smart exterior and interior lighting, wiper and sensor cleaning systems to support the driver in all driving situations. Neuses is close to Bamberg, a student town.

Position and Team

Our Logistics department is looking for a VIE Logistics Projects Support to be part of the team for 12 months. You will work on improving the material flow with certain project tasks as well as support the team in daily operational tasks.

Your challenges

• You are in charge of set-up/programming of an easy-to-use packaging database to administrate empty customer and supplier trays, to control material received and material sent out…(projects)
• You work on layout optimizations for better material flow inside the plant (projects)
• You participate and support in weekly SIOP (Sales, Inventory and Operations Planning)
• You prepare forecasts / disposition of material
• You monitor backlog / late supplier deliveries ("early warning system")

Let’s Talk About You

• You have engineering degree or relevant Bachelor degree in Logistics
• You have a first experience in the relevant field (internships, work-study)
• You have good English command and basic German language skills
• You have a good knowledge of MS Office, basics in SAP and are a fast-learner
• You are well-organized and are good at time management
• You have never worked in Germany (Business France criteria)
• You have good communication skills, have an international mindset and are open-minded to new cultures and new ways of working and thinking
• You are humble, listening, positive attitude oriented, professional, and have the sense of diplomacy
