Responsibilities
The Public Distribution International Sales team is part of MARK EQD, the Global Markets department specialized in the sales, execution, advisory and risk management of equity and commodity derivatives.
More specifically, Public Distribution International provide retail investors with multi-asset exchange-traded solutions both in the Nordics and Iberia.
Its mission is:
- Issue and promote Listed Products towards retail investors (mainly) via cooperation with brokers / online banks in International Markets, with primary focus in Iberia
- Develop SG franchise and market share on the Listed Products market segment in International Markets, with primary focus in Iberia
- Leverage SG’s outstanding pricing and trading capacities and from its innovation power on the securitized derivatives market
The mandate of the team has a broad entrepreneurial scope. The maintenance and development of the retail platform requires a very good understanding of economics that goes along with deep understanding of financial products.
The VIE will mainly assist the Head of Public Distribution International for the coverage of Iberia markets.
The VIE main responsibility is to support the Head of Public Distribution International in the daily tasks, which will encompass the following:
- Participate in the active management of the product range (warrants, turbos, factor certificates, bonus) and its development (new issuances, booking)
- Maintain a competitive watch and monitor the evolution of the market and investor behaviors in Iberia
- Answer the Iberia Clients Hotline re: various product inquiries
- Participate in the definition and organization of marketing and communication campaigns promoting Public Distribution products in International Markets, with primary focus in Iberia (content, digital marketing, brochures and newsletters, seminars, fairs)
- Ensure maintenance and further development of a state-of-the-art Public Distribution retail client website (product database, web site functionalities)
- Ensure quality of any new product issuance & product monitoring (quality of animation and price contribution, KID and EMT production, settlement, life cycle events)
- Solve business or operational issues related to the products sold with the assistance of the IT teams, back-offices, middle-offices
Studies & Experience
- Graduate with a Master degree from Business management or Engineering Degree (MSci / MBA) in Finance / Marketing
- Basic knowledge in Finance, specifically in financial and derivative products
- Ideally previous internships in finance with strong interest in the digital approach to offer financial instruments to end retail client
Language Skills
- Fluent English (spoken and written) mandatory, ideally fluent Spanish
Technical, operational & soft skills
- Analytical mindset & rigor
- Ability to work with MS Excel, VBA is an advantage but not necessary, optimization and creation of Excel based solutions
- Microsoft Powerpoint experience is an advantage
- Experience with Bloomberg or Eikon is an advantage
- Experience with social media and video editing tools
- Experience with content creation, research/report writing skills
- IT skills (python, javascript etc.) would be great
- Python programming skills, javascript would be useful but not mandatory
- Being reliable and quality-oriented
- Ability to plan and schedule

- Ability to describe and explain complex problems in a simple and concise manner
- Open and friendly personality
- Cooperative and team spirit approach
- Ability to answer Client requests promptly and politely
The VIE assignment in a nutshell
This VIE in Frankfurt is to begin as soon as possible, but you need to plan 3 months between your application date and the beginning of your VIE assignment. It will last 12 months.
