Overview
As a member of our experienced AIT team in Munich, you will work closely with our engineers and technicians throughout the assembly, integration, and acceptance processes of deltaVision’s products.
As Welding Supervisor, you are the key responsible function for the introduction and qualification of a new laser beam welding system (LBW – Process 52 according to ISO 4063) within our company.
You ensure that all welding processes for space flight hardware are qualified, documented, and released in accordance with ECSS-Q-ST-70-39C. In doing so, you are responsible for the entire process chain – from WPS creation through verification to production release.
Responsibilities
- Technical responsibility for commissioning the laser beam welding system
- Planning, execution, and documentation of the Welding Process Verification
- Preparation, maintenance, and approval of: WPS (Welding Procedure Specification), WVTP (Welding Verification Test Plan), WPVR / WVTR
- Definition and monitoring of: Welding parameters, Process windows, Gas purity levels, Cleanliness and contamination control requirements
- Coordination of: Non-destructive testing (VT, PT, RT, if required CT), Destructive testing (metallography, hardness testing, tensile testing)
- Ensuring compliance with ECSS weld acceptance criteria
- Definition of Safety Classes and Sensitivity Levels
- Supervision and approval of repair and re-weld processes
- Auditing of the welding environment, equipment, and maintenance cycles
- Training and technical leadership of welders and operators
- Technical point of contact for Engineering, Quality Assurance, and customers

Your profile
- Certified Welding Coordinator / Welding Supervisor in accordance with ISO 14731
- Several years of experience in laser beam welding (LBW)
- Experience in regulated industries (space, aerospace, nuclear, medical technology, or similar)
- In-depth knowledge of: WPS qualification, process verification, NDT methods, and weld acceptance criteria
- Experience with ISO 4063, ISO 15614, ISO 17636, ISO 17640, etc.
- Ideally experience with ECSS or comparable space industry standards
- Strong sense of responsibility
- Structured, documentation-driven working style
- High level of technical detail combined with a pragmatic approach
- Good German and English language skills
