Working Student – AGNC Avionics Harness & Structures Engineer (m/f/d)

Mission Brief This role supports the development and documentation of electrical harnesses for an orbital launch vehicle. Tasks include database maintenance, basic harness design, and interpretation of schematics and system-level diagrams. The position offers hands-on experience in harness engineering within a multidisciplinary aerospace environment. Your Role in Our Space Mission: Process and maintain the sensor database and update department documentationKeep the electrical component database current and create new entries as neededDesign simple harnesses such as umbilicals, jumpers, test harnesses, and vehicle harnessesInterpret and create electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and circuit layoutsRead and understand system-level diagrams to support harness integrationAssist in aligning harness designs with avionics, sensors, actuators, and fluid systemsSupport documentation for harness manufacturing and integrationCollaborate with engineers across departments to ensure data consistency and design alignment Qualification Checklist Enrolled in a BSc/MSc program in Electrical, Mechanical, Aerospace Engineering, or related fieldExperience or coursework in electrical design and documentationFamiliarity with electrical harness design with CAD tools (e.g., SolidWorks Electrical or similar)Ability to interpret electrical schematics and system-level diagramsStrong organizational skills and attention to detailProactive mindset and willingness to learn in a fast-paced environmentGood communication skills and ability to work in a teamFluent in English, both written and spoken Bonus Skills Experience with mechanical design in CAD software (e.g., SolidWorks / CATIA / NX)Familiarity with aerospace or automotive electrical systems Who We Are We are Isar Aerospace and we are at the forefront of New Space building a modern space business to enable faster, better and cheaper access to space.
