Xiaomi EV - Senior EHS Engineer (Environment, Health & Safety, Automotive R&D)

Xiaomi EV is looking for an experienced EHS Engineer to support the development and implementation of Environment, Health & Safety practices at our European R&D Center in Munich.

In this role, you will help ensure compliance with local regulations and internal standards while promoting a safe and sustainable working environment across engineering and operational activities. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to identify risks, improve processes, and strengthen EHS awareness across the organization.

• Support the implementation and continuous improvement of the company’s Environment, Health & Safety (EHS) management system in line with local regulations and internal policies.
• Conduct regular EHS inspections and audits to identify potential risks and ensure compliance with applicable safety and environmental standards.
• Monitor and follow up on corrective and preventive actions related to identified safety risks or incidents.
• Assist in developing and tracking EHS objectives and improvement plans , ensuring effective implementation across relevant teams.
• Perform risk assessments and support the development of preventive measures and emergency response procedures.
• Deliver EHS training and awareness programs for employees to promote a strong safety culture.
• Monitor relevant EHS regulations and compliance requirements , ensuring alignment with local and international standards.
• Bachelor’s degree or above in Safety Engineering, Environmental Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering , or a related field.
• At least 3 years of experience in Environment, Health & Safety management or a related role.
• Good understanding of occupational health, safety regulations, and risk management practices .
• Familiarity with ISO 45001 and ISO 14001 management systems is preferred.
• Experience in manufacturing, automotive, or engineering environments is considered a plus.
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
• Professional working proficiency in English or German .
