You build the sales function at Cayas Software from the ground up: working directly with the management, with uncapped commission and in a market where core processes still run on Excel, paper and legacy point solutions. Business fluent German (C1) and the right to live and work in Germany are required.

Your mission

We are not looking for a classic sales rep who works through someone else's playbook. We are looking for a closer who builds the sales function at Cayas Software together with the management.

As our first dedicated salesperson, you work directly with the management and shape sales strategy, pipeline and processes from day one. Your focus is on mid-sized B2B companies in Germany that need business critical apps and custom software: industry, mechanical engineering, trade, logistics and technical service providers.

The market is wide open. In many of these companies, core processes still run on Excel sheets, paper forms, email and legacy point solutions. On top of that, there are applications that were built years ago and that nobody can maintain or extend today. You do not have to create demand here. You have to find it, and there is plenty of it.

We do not win deals on price, we win them on responsibility: our clients choose Cayas because they need software that somebody stands behind, five years from now as well.

Your success pays off directly, through an uncapped commission model with no earnings ceiling.

Please read this before you apply: this role requires business fluent German at C1 level or better. Every client conversation, proposal and contract is in German. You also need to live in Germany already, be legally entitled to work here and be able to work mainly from our office in Minden.

What you will achieve

You identify and win new clients among German mid-sized B2B companies
You own the entire sales cycle, from first contact to signed contract
You qualify the inbound requests coming from our website, content and training business and build your own outbound pipeline alongside them
You build a reliable sales pipeline that turns into predictable utilisation for our development team
You develop long term relationships with managing directors, IT leads and business departments
You shape the go to market strategy together with the management
You represent Cayas Software at trade fairs, industry events and developer conferences
You feed market requirements and client feedback straight back into our positioning and service portfolio
You lay the foundation of our sales organisation: playbook, processes, structure

What you bring

Several years of B2B sales experience with a proven track record of closing
Demonstrable success in new business acquisition
Experience managing complex sales cycles for services that need explaining
Confidence when dealing with different levels of decision makers
A convincing presence in front of managing directors and C-level
A hands-on mentality, strong self-organisation and a high degree of ownership
Business fluent German, spoken and written, at C1 level or better. Our clients, our proposals and our contracts are German, so this one is not negotiable
The right to live and work in Germany. You are already based here and hold a valid work permit
Willingness to work mainly from our office in Minden in North Rhine Westphalia. Short paths matter while we build this function, working from home is possible by arrangement

A plus, but not a must

Experience selling software projects or IT services
Experience in a SaaS or agency environment
A basic technical understanding of apps, interfaces and cloud
A feeling for digitalisation in the German Mittelstand and for the people who work with those processes every day

What sets you apart

Closing mentality: you want to win and you measure yourself by results, not by activity
Drive to build: you create structures where there are none and take responsibility for making them hold
Initiative: you spot opportunities and go after them proactively
Reliability: you build trust through clear communication and by keeping your word

What we offer

Uncapped commission: your earnings grow with your deals, without a ceiling. If you deliver, you earn.
Freedom to shape things: you build our sales function from the ground up, without any bullshit targets
Technical backing: real development expertise joins you in every client meeting, so you never have to promise anything we cannot deliver
Short paths in a shared office: your workplace is our office in the heart of Minden, with a height adjustable desk, fruit and drinks. Pricing, scope and feasibility get settled in a short conversation with the management and the developers. You travel for client meetings, and working from home is possible by arrangement
Flexible working hours and 30 days of holiday , so you have enough time to recharge and for the things that matter to you
Learning that actually moves you forward: an education budget for courses, workshops and conferences plus access to LinkedIn Learning
The latest tech: you work with up to date hardware and the tools you need to do your job
An appreciative team with an open ear for your thoughts and ideas
