Cycle GmbH, founded as a DESY spinoff company in 2015, is producing world-leading timing equipment that synchronizes RF and optical equipment with sub-femtosecond resolution. Key developments for these technologies started more than a decade ago at MIT and have been further improved to the attosecond level at Deutsches Elektronen-Synchrotron (DESY). Cycle GmbH, founded by Prof. Franz X. Kaertner, holds the exclusive license to commercialize the key synchronization technologies from his research at MIT.
