Position Overview:

As a Senior Subproject Manager for Overhead Lines, you will be responsible for overseeing and coordinating the planning, execution, and successful completion of overhead line projects. You will manage complex subprojects, working with cross-functional teams to ensure that projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

Technical control and quality assurance for external service providers/contractors
If there are deviations from standards in the project, check feasibility and implementability. If feasible, create a technical/professional justification
Planning the content of a project (time, budget, quality)
Creating topic-related service tenders (content and methodology)
Project-related reporting in accordance with the methods and specifications of the project
Accompanying internal and external method discussions
Dealing with various interest groups, including customers, contractors, suppliers and authorities
Initiating escalations in the event of conflicts in the project organization
In line with the project goals (time, budget, quality), checking that the project plans and specifications are implemented from a technical perspective and meet the required standards
Identifying and testing optimization potential in the area of the respective technical topic in line with project goals and their feasibility with regard to operation and system security
Checking compliance with topic-related guidelines and providing technical justification in the event of deviations in the sense of the optimization concept
Technical evaluation of the selection, briefing and instruction of service providers to handle the tasks assigned, including quality control

Qualifications:

Degree in electrical or civil engineering, industrial engineering or comparable qualification
At least 5 years of professional experience in overhead line planning and implementation in a project management position
Basic understanding of the areas of routing and planning, statics, cable mechanics and electrical engineering
Knowledge of the scope of construction work in civil engineering and mast and cable assembly
Experience with authorities and public interest groups in the context of the approval process
Knowledge of the structuring of nature conservation processes based on established assessment regulations
Car driving license and willingness to drive to the route

Preferred Skills:

Sound knowledge of the economic, technical and legal framework of the energy industry, particularly in the area of medium and high voltage overhead lines
Basic knowledge of project management, particularly understanding of the relationships between deadlines, costs and risk in a project
MS Office
