Solution Expert - Medical Device Compliance (DACH, Remote - Germany)

Matrix One is a leading provider of software solutions for medical device companies, helping them manage regulatory and quality compliance with ease. Our mission is to streamline product development and compliance, enabling companies to bring medical devices to market faster and more efficiently.

We are growing our presence in Germany, Switzerland and Austria, and we are looking for someone technical who genuinely loves working with people to help us do it. If you are energized by customer conversations, light up when solving someone's problem, and find deep satisfaction in helping medical device companies succeed, this role is for you.

You are a MedTech professional with solid regulatory and quality experience (3 to 7 years), a native or fluent German speaker, and someone who thrives at the intersection of technical knowledge and human connection. You are the kind of person colleagues naturally turn to for help, and you genuinely enjoy being that trusted resource. You are ready for a new challenge: a role where your regulatory expertise becomes the foundation for advising companies, guiding their decisions and building a region, not just managing documentation.

As our Solution Expert for the DACH region, you'll:

Customer engagement & discovery

Partner with medical device companies across Germany, Switzerland and Austria in consultative discussions to deeply understand their processes, goals and challenges. You'll be their trusted guide, helping them see how our solutions fit their unique needs, in their own language and with a real understanding of their regulatory reality.

Discovery & solution design

Lead conversations with prospective customers across the DACH region: ask the right questions to uncover their pain points, demonstrate how we can help, and guide them through their evaluation to a confident decision. You'll bring regulatory credibility to these conversations: when a QA/RA director explains their design control or CAPA process, you'll understand it and know what to ask next.

Building the DACH region

Help us grow our footprint in Germany, Switzerland and Austria. You'll identify where our platform solves real problems, build relationships with the regulatory and R&D community, represent Matrix One at local events, and contribute to how we approach the region. This is a chance to build something, not inherit it.

Evaluations & proof of value

Be the go-to expert while companies evaluate us: run demos that speak to their actual processes, support trials and pilots, answer functional and configuration questions, and show them how their QMS or design controls would look in the platform before they commit.

Collaboration with internal teams

Bring what you hear in the market back to product, consulting and leadership teams, and work closely with our onboarding team so every new customer starts strong. You'll be the voice of the DACH market, influencing how we build and improve.

What we're looking for:

Technical and regulatory foundation:

3 to 7 years of hands‑on experience in the medical device industry, ideally in Regulatory Affairs or Quality Assurance (R&D or project management with strong regulatory exposure also works). This is essential.
Working knowledge of the frameworks our customers live in every day: ISO 13485, ISO 14971, IEC 62304, EU MDR / IVDR, FDA design controls (21 CFR 820 / QMSR). You don't need to be an expert in all of them, but you should be comfortable discussing design history files, risk management, traceability and audit readiness with a QA/RA team.
Experience with notified body or FDA interactions, technical documentation, or QMS implementation is a strong plus.
Basic understanding of coding concepts (HTML, JSON, or similar); you're comfortable around software and curious about how it works.
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Engineering, Life Sciences, Regulatory Affairs, or equivalent experience.

Language and location:

Native or fully fluent German, written and spoken, and professional fluency in English (our internal working language).
Based in Germany (remote), with the ability to travel occasionally within the DACH region for customer meetings and industry events.

The personality & skills that matter most:

You genuinely enjoy people.

Customer calls energize you rather than drain you. You're naturally curious about others' challenges and motivated to help them succeed.

You're a relationship builder.

People feel comfortable opening up to you. You ask great questions, listen actively, and build trust quickly.

You find joy in problem-solving for others.

There's nothing more satisfying than that moment when a customer says "that's exactly what I needed!"

You communicate with clarity and warmth.

You can translate complex technical and regulatory concepts into practical guidance that makes people feel confident, not overwhelmed. In German and in English.

You have positive energy and good vibes.

You bring enthusiasm to your work and make interactions enjoyable for customers and colleagues alike.

You're consultative, not just reactive.

You dig deeper to understand the real issue, offer proactive guidance, and genuinely want people to make the right decision for their company.

You want to be stretched.

You've built real expertise in your current field and you're curious about what else you can do with it. The idea of owning a region, meeting dozens of companies a year and shaping how a product grows in your market sounds exciting, not intimidating.

What's in it for you:

Competitive salary package and benefits
Full flexibility to work 100% remotely from Germany
Yearly company events in changing international locations
A region to make your own: DACH is a core market for Matrix One, and you'll have a direct hand in how we grow there
Clear growth path: start by mastering the product and our customers, then take full ownership of your accounts and the DACH region, from first conversation to signature, with hands‑on coaching from leadership along the way
Direct exposure to international MedTech clients across the full product lifecycle, from design controls to post‑market
A supportive global team that values collaboration, authenticity and shared success

This role is ideal if you:

Have 3 to 7 years of hands‑on experience in the MedTech industry (RA/QA, R&D or project management) and understand the regulatory realities medical device companies face daily
Are technical enough to understand the product deeply, but people-oriented enough that customer interaction is your favorite part of the job
Speak German natively or fluently and enjoy working with international colleagues in English
Want to build a career where your technical knowledge and relationship skills both matter
Have ever been told you should "be in sales" but wanted the technical credibility first
Have outgrown your current role and are looking for a challenge that uses everything you've learned, and then some
See yourself growing into a trusted advisor whose recommendations lead to decisions, and who is measured on the impact they create across the DACH region
Genuinely care about helping medical device companies bring life-changing products to market and want your career to grow alongside the relationships you build
