You don't just demo software — you prove it works. As Sales Engineer at Prospeum, you're the person who makes enterprise deals technically undeniable. You build proof-of-concepts, run deep-dives with IT and procurement teams, and configure working solutions before the contract is signed.

Tasks

Build prototypes, proof-of-concepts, and custom configurations that demonstrate measurable value for specific customer environments.
Configure and adapt Prospeum's AI-driven SRM platform to customer workflows, ERP landscapes, and compliance requirements.
Lead technical deep-dives, live demos, and hands-on workshops with procurement, IT architecture, and security teams.
Travel to customer sites for discovery workshops and technical validation sessions — you're the person in the room, not on the call.
Translate customer requirements into product feedback and scalable feature proposals for Engineering.
Partner with Sales, Product, Engineering, and Founders as the technical owner of deal success.
Build reusable demo environments, integration templates, and technical documentation that accelerate future deals.
Support RFP/RFQ responses with technically accurate, codebase-informed answers.

Requirements

2–4 years of experience in sales engineering, technical consulting, solutions architecture, or a hands-on engineering role with customer exposure.
Comfortable building and extending SaaS applications: Python (Django/FastAPI), TypeScript (Angular), REST APIs, PostgreSQL — or equivalent stack experience.
Solid understanding of enterprise IT landscapes: SSO/SAML, ERP integration patterns (SAP, S/4HANA), cloud platforms (AWS, Azure).
Ability to switch fluently between a C-level business conversation and a technical architecture whiteboard session.
Strong demo skills — you know how to tell a story with working software, not slides.
Ownership mindset: you'd rather ship a working PoC than wait for a perfect spec.
Interest in procurement, supply chain, or regulatory compliance is a plus — domain expertise isn't required, curiosity is.
Fluent in German and strong in English.
Willingness to travel (~20-30% of the time).
Hybrid work: 3 days in the office, 2 from home.
Competitive compensation with a performance bonus linked to deals.
Direct access to the founders: You'll work alongside the CEO and CTO, not through layers.
Annual development budget for courses, conferences, and certifications.
AI-native product: You'll be selling and configuring cutting-edge procurement intelligence, not legacy software.
Real enterprise exposure: Work with customers like LBBW, Siemens, and OECD from day one.

Why Join Prospeum?

Most sales engineers demo what exists. At Prospeum, you'll build what's next.

We're adding an AI intelligence layer to an established SRM platform — chat-driven interfaces, autonomous agents, cross-organizational procurement intelligence. You won't be showing the same 5 screens to every prospect. You'll be configuring intelligent workflows, building PoCs that solve real problems, and proving to enterprise IT teams that AI in procurement actually works.

If you want to be the technical voice that closes deals — not by talking, but by building — this is it.
