We are looking for a Brand + Marketing Manager who operates between strategy and execution. You have built and managed client relationships, run multi-account workflows, and understand that excellent brand work happens because the right person is driving it every day.

You have taste and believe aesthetics and story are the core of brands that last. You know the difference between work that is good enough and work that is excellent, and you hold that standard for everything you put your name on.

Purveyor is a strategy-first brand consultancy. We work with developers, founders, and legacy business leaders who are building something worth building. Our clients trust us to protect what they are creating and guide how it shows up in the world, and as Brand + Marketing Manager you keep that standard alive across every account you touch.

You elevate the work around you and set the pace for the team. Drive, intuition, and initiative are non-negotiable.

What You\'ll Own

Day-to-day account leadership. You manage the full scope of assigned client accounts. Strategy, client coordination, and pipeline management all live with you. You direct the team executing the work and stay accountable for everything that ships.

Content strategy and production. Content strategy and standards. You define the content strategy across assigned accounts and own the standard for what goes out. You set the brief, shape the direction, and review the team\'s output. Copywriting, design, and scheduling sit with the team. Your job is to make sure nothing leaves without purpose behind it.

Client relationships. You represent Purveyor at the account level with professionalism and strategic clarity. You build trust with clients, communicate proactively, and ensure the work stays aligned with their goals. You anticipate what is needed before it is asked for.

Pipeline ownership. You identify time-sensitive brand moments and activate on them. You manage the content pipeline from opportunity through to published post with full accountability at every stage.

Setting the standard. You raise the quality bar for everything around you. You mentor, you model, and you move the work forward. You create clarity where there is ambiguity and hold the line on what excellent looks like.

Qualifications

Required

5 to 7 years of experience in brand management, content strategy, marketing, or a related field

Demonstrated experience owning and managing client accounts independently at a senior level

Strong copywriting skills with the ability to adapt to multiple brand voices

Proven experience guiding and developing others across creative and cross-functional teams

Ability to manage multiple accounts simultaneously without dropping detail

Deep understanding of how brand strategy connects to content, design, and customer experience

Comfort operating in client-facing environments at the decision-maker level

Fluency in social media strategy and content workflows

Valued

A demonstrable eye for design, storytelling, and brand aesthetics

Experience working within a creative agency or brand consultancy

Background in real estate, placemaking, CPG, hospitality, or community-driven brand work

Experience with founder-led or privately-held companies

Familiarity with brand strategy frameworks and methodology

Deadlines are firm. Your due dates affect others\' work. Missed deadlines, dropped details, or breakdowns in communication create downstream issues for the team and the client.

This role is hybrid. You travel to Bakersfield one to two times per month for team working sessions and client-facing days. Outside of that, we meet in LA or work remotely. Los Angeles-based candidates strongly preferred.

Compensation + Benefits

Salary: $70,000 to $90,000 depending on experience
