Electrical Project Engineer - Offshore Wind Service

Do you have a passion for renewable energy and an eye for technical details? Are you excited about supporting projects from start to finish? If so, we want to hear from you!

Your position

As our new Electrical Project Engineer in the Renewable division, you will be a valuable member of the Global Modification team, whose mission is to execute modification projects on offshore wind farms. You will design, communicate and implement operational plans for engineering activities and contribute technical input to larger projects. Working closely with the project manager, cross-functional engineering teams and the offshore execution team, you will participate throughout the project lifecycle — from initial client inquiries and planning to design, construction, installation and commissioning.

Your place of work will be at our Global HQ located in Esbjerg or at our office in Hamburg. The position is full-time, and up to 30 travel days per year should be expected.

“You will be part of a team of energetic and competent colleagues that prioritizes teamwork and a "winning as a team" mentality. Our team values a flexible work atmosphere with an emphasis on balancing work and personal life, as well as opportunities for professional growth. In this role, you will have great opportunities to bring your own ideas to the table and play a key role in shaping our projects and services.” –Kristoffer Frederiksen, Senior Manager, Global Modifications.

As a Project Engineer, you will be responsible for developing technical solutions and engineering documentation for modification projects, working closely with the project manager and other cross-functional teams in the BoP Service organisation. You will plan and coordinate engineering activities, monitor progress and performance, and take action to resolve technical issues to secure the required quality and project timelines. You will also be a key contributor to resolving warranty claims on OSS projects delivered by Semco Maritime. For offshore execution projects and site operations, you may perform site or offshore surveys as preparation and provide back‑office engineering support during construction, installation and commissioning.
Therefore, you can expect an interesting and steep learning curve, and we will provide the training needed to help you succeed in your new role.

Your tasks will include but are not limited to:

Develop technical projects and solutions and provide engineering input to larger projects
Prepare, communicate and maintain operational plans for engineering activities and deliverables
Prepare and manage job packages for onshore and offshore installation
Perform or coordinate engineering activities across relevant disciplines and stakeholders
Monitor engineering progress and performance, and resolve issues to secure quality and project timelines
Participate in all project phases from tender and design through production, construction, installation and commissioning
Perform or support site and offshore surveys required for project preparation
Provide back‑office engineering support during offshore execution, construction, installation and commissioning
Participate in technical communication with clients to explain, clarify and align technical solutions relevant to project success

As a person, you enjoy having a lot of responsibility and you thrive in an environment where you have daily communication with many stakeholders. You are driven by completing tasks to the best of your ability and remain in control even in fast‑paced situations. In the team we value a positive mindset both to the benefit of our clients delivering first class services and also to secure a strong working environment among all our colleagues.

You prioritize safety above all and never compromise when it comes to the safety of any people participating in our projects.

To succeed in this position, we imagine that you have:

An educational background as a Marine Engineer, Service Engineer, Technical Manager Offshore or Electrical/electronic engineer
Previous experience and broad knowledge and understanding of electrical systems related to offshore substations and offshore turbines at a generalist level
Fluency in English, written and verbal
Ability to communicate in German is an advantage, but not a requirement
