Softpay is looking for a commercially strong Partner Account Manager who will be responsible for activating and developing our existing strategic partners in Germany. In addition, an important part of the role is to actively create new partnerships that can be developed and contribute to growth.

About the role

As PAM Germany, you are responsible for developing our existing partner relationships. In addition, an important part of the role is to identify and establish new partnerships with clear growth potential. You become the partners’ primary contact at Softpay across all commercial, strategic and other non-support related matters.

You will work closely with German ISVs, POS vendors, acquirers and strategic distribution partners. Your task is to ensure that partners are activated, create new business opportunities and continuously increase the number of active licenses, transactions and customers on the Softpay platform.

Your key responsibilities

Own and develop a defined portfolio of German partners through a proactive meeting and follow-up structure.
Actively identify and establish new strategic partnerships that can create growth for Softpay.
Prepare a concrete activation and growth plan for each partner, focusing on training, target customers, the first launches and new commercial opportunities.
Build and maintain a partner-driven sales pipeline in CRM and drive opportunities from identification to onboarding and operation.
Train and enable the partners’ sales, account management, onboarding and support teams so they can position and sell Softpay effectively.
Create growth in active licenses, transaction volume and recurring revenue, including through new markets, devices and features such as DCC, surcharge and deferred authorisation.
Track partner engagement, performance and satisfaction, and react early to inactivity, issues or competitive threats.
Coordinate with Softpay’s sales, onboarding, support, product and technical teams when partner success or customer launches require action.
Develop the strongest German partners into reference partners, cases and joint campaigns.

What success looks like

Signed partnerships become active and create a visible, qualified pipeline of new customers.
More German customers, locations and devices go live through the partner portfolio.
The number of active and billable licenses, MRR and transaction volume grows steadily.
Partners become able to sell, onboard and support the Softpay solution independently.
Risks are detected early, ownership is clear, and agreed actions are carried out.

Who are you?

You have experience from the payments or POS industry as well as experience with partner management, account management or customer success.
You are commercially strong and can convert good relationships into measurable pipeline, recurring revenue and real production.
You work proactively and in a structured way with portfolio planning, follow-up, forecasting and CRM.
You are confident in dialogue with commercial, product, technical and management stakeholders.
You can present complex products clearly and enable the partners’ teams to act independently.
You use data to assess partner status, adoption, revenue, pipeline and risk.
You collaborate well across the organisation and can drive progress without taking over other functions’ responsibilities.
You communicate fluently in German and professional English.

Why this role matters

Our partners are decisive for Softpay’s growth in Germany. A strong PAM turns partners into an active extension of Softpay’s commercial organisation - with more new customers, faster launches and sustainable growth in recurring revenue.

Location

This position is home-office-based within Germany, with a willingness to travel for partner meetings and major industry events.
