Overview

Candidate must be listed on travel orders (or similar) of a sponsoring employee who is assigned (not TDY) to U.S. Mission Germany under Chief of Mission authority. Security Clearance Required: Secret/Confidential.

Schedule

Full Time (40 hours per week).

Start Date

Candidate must be able to begin working within a reasonable period of time of receipt of agency authorization and/or clearances/certifications or their candidacy may end.

Responsibilities

Under the direct supervision of the Consular Chief, assigned a wide range of responsibilities in the American Citizen Services (ACS) Unit and Nonimmigrant Visa (NIV) Unit.
Provide consular services to U.S. citizens.
Conduct non‑adjudicatory visa processing.
Assist in investigation and validation studies.
Handle correspondence with the public, attorneys, U.S. and host governments, Congress, and other parties.
Secure and maintain a Secret level security clearance.

Qualifications

Minimum of three years of office administrative experience with at least one year of consular experience, OR
Two years of office administration (FP‑07 training level), OR
One year of office administration (FP‑08 training level).

Job Knowledge

General understanding of U.S. policies related to consular and visa operations.

Education Requirements

Completion of high school is required.

Language Requirements

Fluent language skills in English (speaking, reading, writing). *THIS WILL BE TESTED*
