We are an internationally successful family-owned mechanical engineering company with our own subsidiaries in North America and Asia. As a traditional “hidden champion”, we are the technological world market leader and one of the established specialists in our industry. We supply renowned customers in the engine industry across the globe, with technological leadership and continuous innovation forming our core foundation. We live sustainability, manage all resources responsibly, and work with conviction towards a CO2-neutral future for high-performance powertrains—for example, through hydrogen-based fuels. To strengthen our sales team, we are looking for a dedicated and entrepreneurially minded Technical Sales Director (m/f/d) – International Sales to join us at the earliest possible date.

Your Responsibilities:

Following your onboarding, you will take over the leadership, management, and further development of our sales team: You will set targets, develop your employees, and ensure a highly capable, high-performing sales organization. At the same time, you will bear direct operational sales responsibility for our international key accounts and core sectors. You will maintain partnership-based relationships with existing clients, expand these connections strategically, and actively win new customers and projects. To achieve this, you will initiate and manage targeted activities—both for new client acquisition and for growing existing business. Leveraging your strong negotiation skills and commitment, you will lead complex customer and contract negotiations and support our clients with sophisticated projects. Furthermore, you will drive our international sales and growth strategy forward, identify new markets and business fields, and implement the corresponding measures together with your team.

Managing and further developing the sales team.
Taking direct responsibility for international key accounts.
Actively acquiring new customers and expanding existing accounts.
Leading contract and commercial negotiations.
Further developing the sales strategy, as well as identifying and opening up new markets.

Your Profile:

You hold a degree in engineering or a technical qualification (e.g., in mechanical engineering) and successfully combine your technical know-how with a strong commercial understanding. You have already spent several years working successfully in B2B sales within the mechanical or plant engineering sector—ideally in the field of powertrain technology—and are highly familiar with the requirements of global markets and client structures. Knowledge in the field of energy conversion or generation is desirable. Alongside your own sales expertise, you bring leadership experience and know how to motivate, develop, and align a sales team toward shared goals. When dealing with international clients and business partners from diverse markets, you stand out through your strong communication and negotiation skills, and you speak fluent English.

Engineering degree or technical qualification (mechanical engineering or similar).
A passionate and driven sales professional (m/f/d).
Several years of B2B sales experience, ideally within powertrain/drive technology, complemented by proven leadership practice.
A pragmatic, highly communicative, and engaging individual.

We offer you an exciting sales leadership position with plenty of strategic freedom in an environment characterized by short decision-making paths and open exchange with executive management. You will join a healthy, medium-sized company with an innovative spirit, diverse professional development opportunities, and excellent prospects for long-term collaboration.
